They differ in what they show around the duty. The comparison below lists those differences as of October 6, 2026, from Flexport's public tariff pages and from this site. Features change, so check each tool before you rely on it.

Questions importers ask
Do Gateway and Flexport give the same duty?
For the same HTS code, country of origin, value and date they should, because both start from the official Harmonized Tariff Schedule and the Chapter 99 trade actions. On the shipment we ran through both on September 2, 2026 (women's cotton T-shirts from China, HTS 6109.10.0040, $10,000), each returned 36.50%. Differences usually come from the entry date, an exclusion you claim, or antidumping and countervailing duties that depend on the supplier.
Which one shows antidumping and countervailing duty deposits?
Both point out possible antidumping and countervailing duties. Gateway also lists the case numbers and the published cash deposit rates where it holds them, and marks the estimate partial until the supplier and the written scope are confirmed. Flexport's FAQ says its simulator flags possible exposure for you to verify against the order.
Can I price a past entry date?
Not on Gateway, which prices today's rates. Flexport's FAQ says its simulator applies rates by entry date, with history back to January 1, 2025.
Can Gateway ship the goods as well?
Yes. Gateway is an ocean freight company. The duty result shows the latest spot rate we read for the lane, and you can ask for a firm all-in quote from the same page.
